Current Situation: Pastai currently stores all history in the left side menu without distinguishing between user-copied content and pastai-generated content. Proposed Feature: Implement a categorized history view that clearly separates and labels user input (copied context) from pastai-generated content. Rationale: Enhancing the visibility of different types of contexts will improve user experience by: Providing clearer organization of historical data Facilitating easier retrieval of specific content types Enabling users to quickly differentiate between their own inputs and AI-generated outputs
Integration with Local Ollama Server for Custom LLM Models
Current Situation: Pastai currently operates with LLM (llama 3, 7b), limiting users to the default capabilities provided by the software. Proposed Feature: Implement support for connecting to a local Ollama server, allowing users to utilize custom large language models (LLMs) of their choice. Rationale: While Pastai may have been initially designed for users without extensive LLM knowledge, adding this feature would significantly enhance its versatility and appeal to a broader user base, including those with LLM expertise. This integration aligns with industry trends, as seen in applications like LM Studio and AnythingLLM.
Opt-out Option for Automatic Clipboard Capture
Current Behavior: Pastai automatically captures and adds all new data copied to the clipboard from other applications while the software is running. Proposed Feature: Implement an opt-out option to disable the automatic clipboard capture functionality. Rationale: The current automatic capture behaviour can be disruptive and annoying for users who prefer more control over what gets added to the pasta. Implementation Suggestions: Add a toggle switch in the pastai settings menu labelled "Automatic Clipboard Capture" When disabled, pastai should not automatically add new clipboard content Consider adding a keyboard shortcut or context menu option to manually add clipboard content when auto-capture is disabled User Interface: Include the new option in the settings menu Provide a clear explanation of the feature's functionality Consider adding a first-time user prompt to explain the new feature

I want to be able to translate what is in my clipboard in one click, using the latest LLMs for the most usable output
Automatically delete clipboard history after 30 days
I'd like to have all my clipboard deleted after 30 days - either a default or a setting I choose. I don't really need to keep anything for much longer than that
